#m4change paper based wiki :) on TwitpicSaturday morning saw Mobile Tech 4 Social Change event, or #m4change, happen at CPUT in Cape Town. Your web AddiCT was there initially just to learn what was happening in the mobile tech space wrt projects that are being developed and implemented to bring about social change. When the paper based wiki popped up and MXit was first on the list learning became sharing and together we learnt the pros and cons of setting up a MXit private chat room. You can create private chat rooms in MXit. Those rooms are called MultiMX.

First you need to log into MXit.

The MultiMX chat room you now have created will display as a contact with a special icon.

If you created the the room you will be able to invite more contacts by selecting Add members from the Options menu within the Chat Room.

Be careful not to log out of MXit as you will no longer have access to the room. This is one of the major disadvantages of MultiMx. Having the ability to invite users who aren’t your contact or online would be great too.
