Free SMS Chat in Gmail 👐 Web AddiCT 🇿🇦

South Africa loves sending free sms messages all the time. You can now send an sms straight from your Gmail account.

Currently only 8ta and MTN are supported. Come on Cell C, Red Bull Mobile & Vodacom please email mobile-operators-gmail-sms-integration@google.com and integrate with the SMS feature of Gmail. This is fresh and the post will be updated as this new Gmail feature unfolds.

Gmail chat lets you easily send text messages to and from cell phones. If this feature isn’t already enabled on your account, you can enable it. Just Click the gear icon in the upper-right and select Gmail settings, and select the Labs tab. Scroll down until you see Text Messaging (SMS) in Chat, select Enable and Save Changes. You may also enable a supplementary lab called SMS in Chat gadget. For now, SMS in Chat only works for sending messages to phones in certain countries.
